Description:Distant view of the daily 8 A.M. engine #194 excursion train from Denver to Morrison at 4 P.M. on the southern railroad. J. B. Walker commuted on this train until 1918, a political maneuver by Governor Evans for access to his hotel, the Evergreen House, in Morrison. The train is also used for tourists to go to Valley of the Titans (Red Rocks) train station (left), built 1872 along Bear Creek Avenue. Description:View of the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday engine #194 excursion train from Denver to Morrison on the southern railroad between 1918 and 1922. The train's final run was in 1925, carrying tourists and freight, and was abandoned after a flood in 1933. A wooden barn in the upper left was likely a blacksmith shop, a stone building in the upper right was likely built by George Morrison and used by John Ross as a hardware and building supply store.
