Title

Morrison Excursion Train

Subject

Railroads; Transportation; Buildings; Mountains; Evans, Mount (Colo.)

Description

View of the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday engine #194 excursion train from Denver to Morrison on the southern railroad between 1918 and 1922. The train's final run was in 1925, carrying tourists and freight, and was abandoned after a flood in 1933. A wooden barn in the upper left was likely a blacksmith shop, a stone building in the upper right was likely built by George Morrison and used by John Ross as a hardware and building supply store.
